About Us

OUR HISTORY

Diverseco commenced operations in Adelaide during June 1992 by founding partners, Brenton Cunningham & Greg Brogan. Brenton’s experience lay in engineering sales, management, marketing and administration, whilst Greg’s skills lay in mechanical engineering, automation, and hands-on trouble shooting.

After establishing Diverseco has the largest scale company in SA, Brenton identified the huge potential for growth in WA and relocated to Perth establishing Diverseco's first branch office. Client enquiries for packaging and filling equipment led to Brenton’s close working relationship with Ross Waller, the owner of a small packaging machine manufacturer known as WeighPack Services. In 1997, Ross was admitted as a third partner due to his expertise in design, development and implementation of packaging equipment and complete automatic production lines.

The goal of the three directors was to establish and maintain a weighing and packaging company that offers its customers high quality equipment, prompt professional service and total solutions through a motivated and professional sales, services, and administration team. The diverse skills and experience of the three directors complimented one another and reinforced the strengths of the company whilst also satisfying their own corporate and personal passions, career interests and ambitions.

Soon after, Diverseco acquired the Avery Scales agency for industrial products in WA, SA, VIC & NSW which led Diverseco's expansion into the eastern states. The Avery agency for QLD was acquired the following year.

A few years later, further acquisitions were made. The first was the operations of Queensland Weighing Machines (QWM) based in Brisbane and Sydney and then Budpak Packaging Systems from Newcastle joined the group taking staff numbers to over 100. Another small packaging company, Conpak, was acquired in Melbourne to expand packaging expertise for the VIC branch.

Diverseco is now the largest weighing, filling, packaging and inspection equipment supplier in Australia with the ability to supply simple solutions up to complete turnkey systems.

Our competitive advantage is that we are prepared to invest back in to our industry and our community. We are one of the very few companies in our industry actively employing and training apprentices and trainees. We have also created an industry-leading training program to develop our staff and make them more effective.

Diverseco's charity initiative - A Higher Cause - donates a percentage of each branch’s profits to their local charities, inspiring our staff to help those in our community that can benefit the most from our financial assistance.
